Services
I currently provide individual psychotherapy to adults and teenagers.
My standard rate is $175 per session.
I am an out-of-network provider, meaning that I do not accept or bill insurance. Individuals who have a plan that includes out-of-network coverage are often able to get reimbursement for some or all of their out of pocket costs for therapy.
FAQ

What is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker?
Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) are trained mental health professionals with a Masters degree in social work. Our training focuses on understanding how individuals are impacted by their environments (family, community, political systems, and more) in addition to studying standard counseling and psychotherapy interventions. In order to become licensed as an LCSW, we must pass a board examination and undergo approximately 2 years of supervised work experience. LCSWs are authorized to diagnose and treat mental health conditions, provided they continue to hold an active license in the state they provide services in.

What can I expect from therapy?
Our first session will begin with history taking and establishing your intentions and goals for therapy. I like to start all of my sessions with a check-in on how the week has been going, and then we move into our focus for the session. That might look like developing skills and resources, or reprocessing trauma or other events from the past.
-
How long are sessions?
A standard therapy session is 45 minutes, held once weekly. As you progress towards your goals, we may meet less frequently. In some circumstances, I offer longer or more frequent sessions.

What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as HSA/FSA cards.

Why don't you take insurance?
Choosing to be an out-of-network provider allows me to focus on providing high quality services to my clients. Unfortunately, insurance companies have historically offered low reimbursement rates while also burdening providers with additional paperwork and red-tape to navigate. Not billing insurance companies directly allows me to carry a smaller caseload (meaning I have more energy for each of my clients) and spend additional time on continuing education.
